About The Author
Tom Turner is an award-winning adman, journalist and author, now specialising in stories of West meets East in Bali and Thailand that delve deeply into clashes of culture, ambition, infidelity and love.
He is widely travelled for more than 40 years, spending time in Java, Bali, Sulawesi, the Moluccas, Langkawi, Penang, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, including Isaan, Si Satchanalai, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Cha Am, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Phuket, and his favourite: Koh Samet. He is a Padi certificated scuba diver to ‘Rescue Diver’ level, has built two houses in North-East Thailand and bought one for his wife’s family in the suburbs of Bangkok.
